The understanding of the hydraulics of open channels is vital to predict the capacity and hence the flood dangers in certain area. Furthermore, most of the consumptive use of water is partly conveyed through open channels. A proper insight of this subject is very important in the planning, design and operation of most of our environmental & water projects.

Course provides knowledge and understanding of engineering methods for the analysis and design of channels and for the assessment of the impacts of structures and changes in channel and flow characteristics
