Students

The ultimate beneficiary of the Kerala Education Grid is the student. Students would be able to upgrade their knowledge in the subject areas through the high quality contents and materials available through the KEG. KEG facilitates the student interaction through the Course Knowledge and Collaboration Space [CKCS] and this way the student community will benefit through constant interactions and discussions.

Apart from using the regular course contents and other materials supplied through KEG, students would be encouraged to critically evaluate the existing contents and pedagogic system available in the KEG. This would help the system to sharply upgrade itself to meet the demands of the end user. Students would be able to post their own queries and materials to aid the better understanding of the subject. A vibrant and fruitful discussion can throw any number possibilities and their solutions and this would ensure that all the possibilities of the situation are explored. Such an interaction not only provides the opportunity for updating and learning new things but also builds the confidence of the academic community especially the students who have to be in their toes to upgrade themselves. This will help the teachers and KEG to tune themselves to the benefit of students and thereby upgrading the existing standards. Collaborative tools like message boards, chat rooms and discussion threads would establish a vibrant student community across the state.
